Barcelona could try to include 20-year-old winger in swap deal for Juan Foyth

Barcelona’s pursuit for Villarreal’s Juan Foyth is already well-documented, 48 hours after the news broke initially. His ability to play both, on the right, and centre of the defence is appreciated by Xavi and the coaching staff.
However, Villarreal have no intention of selling him, and are trying to price Barcelona out of any negotiations. They will not accept anything less than his €42 million release clause, given his deal runs until 2026.
To bring the price down, Barcelona could offer a player as part of a player-plus-cash swap deal, as per Mundo Deportivo. One of the options is Ez Abde, who is admired by coach Unai Emery. The player was briefly linked to an exit to Villarreal in the past, but the rumours died down.
That said, Abde is reportedly a Barcelona coaching staff favourite, as well. They have not yet sanctioned an exit for him, especially since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Memphis Depay have been linked with an exit.
The winger can play on either wing, and is a modern attacker who likes to take on players using his dribbling and footwork. Abde’s profile is definitely fascinating, which helped him break through the first team last season, making ten appearances and scoring once.
One would assume Abde’s price tag would be south of €15 million, and it could only help Barcelona so much if they are, indeed, seriously pursuing Foyth.
