Despite the financial situation being as it is, Barcelona are pressing ahead with their transfer plans for the summer, with the club confident of a major injection of funds from the sales of TV rights and the Barça Licensing & Merchandise (BLM).

One of the top priorities for Xavi Hernandez heading into the summer is strengthening the right flank. Ousmane Dembele seems set to be on his way out, with contract negotiations going nowhere, while Adama Traore will not be signed permanently either.

It leaves a gaping hole in the attacking unit, and Barcelona have identified Leeds United’s Raphinha as their priority target to strengthen the position, reports Diario AS journalist Javi Miguel.

The 25-year-old has been in the conversations at Camp Nou for quite some time now, having made a solid impression in his two seasons with Leeds United in the Premier League.

Having helped the survive the threat of relegation, the Brazilian international looks poised to move on in the summer window, with Barcelona emerging as his likeliest destination.

Reports have claimed that Leeds have already turned down an offer from Barça for Raphinha and are demanding a sum of €55 million.

However, as per Javi Miguel, no negotiations have taken place between Barcelona and Leeds United over a possible move for the Brazilian winger as of yet.

Despite that, though, the Catalan giants are confident that they will get their man in the summer as they trust Raphinha’s desire to make the jump from Elland Road to Camp Nou.

In addition, his agent, Deco, who has close ties with Barça, could also play a significant part in making the transfer come to fruition.

Personal terms are already believed to have been agreed between the two parties, thanks to Deco’s intermediation. What now remains to be seen is if Barcelona can put together an offer that convinces Leeds to part ways with the 25-year-old Raphinha.
