Barcelona ace wants to stay and succeed at club despite lucrative Premier League offer

Barcelona are adding the finishing touches to their plans in the transfer market with merely a few days left until the window slams shut.
Joan Laporta is keen to escort as many fringe players as possible through the exit door in the coming days, which will ensure Barça are given increased license with their finances and can thus make more recruitments.
One of the players who is not considered an important figure in the side, especially after the impending arrival of Joao Cancelo, is Marcos Alonso.
Alonso does not intend to join Manchester United
Having joined Barcelona from Chelsea last summer, Alonso may end up returning to the Premier League, with Manchester United emerging as a potential destination for the veteran.
In light of Luke Shaw’s recent injury, which could keep him out for a while, United are attempting to recruit a replacement, and consequently, Alonso has been shortlisted.
The Red Devils have offered Marcos Alonso a two-year contract with an increase in his salary as well.
However, according to Gabriel Sans, despite the attractive terms proposed, he is focused on succeeding at Barcelona.

The Spanish international has been aware of Manchester United’s interest for some time now. But he believes he can improve his situation at the Catalan club, and continues to aspire to succeed as a Blaugrana.
Minutes for the player are set to be sparse this season, yet Alonso believes his versatility in the backline can end up helping him register game-time for the Blaugrana.
At the same time, though, he is also aware that the market can be crazy and unpredictable, and as such, the situation remains open.
Alonso has interest from other clubs
Atletico Madrid are also one of the teams interested in Alonso’s services, and the club may attempt to include him in the process of bringing Joao Felix to FC Barcelona.
In the past, there have also been reports of interest from teams in Saudi Arabia as well. Ultimately, though, everything will come down to Alonso’s desire and whether he is willing to move from Barça or not.
