Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United showing interest in wantaway Barcelona forward

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay finds himself at the centre of transfer speculations heading into the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Spotify Camp Nou this season and has played just three matches so far, although he spent a significant time out on the sidelines due to a thigh injury.
Nevertheless, the Netherlands international is seeking an exit from the club in January should a top team make an approach. Barcelona themselves are looking to sell the versatile attacker as they would save his wages which in turn could help them sign their intended targets.
Amidst all this, SPORT is now reporting that Depay could be headed back to the Premier League with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United showing an interest in his services ahead of the winter transfer market.
Chelsea had been linked with Depay in the summer and could do with reinforcements in attack as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has failed to fire and the team are not performing at the level expected.
Manchester United will need a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who seems all set to sever ties with the club following his explosive interview recently. Arsenal, meanwhile, could be looking to beef up their attacking options as they look to win the Premier League title.
None of the clubs have made any moves to sign Depay as of yet and will wait to see how he fares at the FIFA World Cup before deciding whether to make an approach or not. The Dutchman himself is not keen on taking any call on his future until after the World Cup in Qatar.
What is interesting though is that recent reports were claiming that Barcelona would demand a fee of €5 million for Depay, considering his contract still runs until the summer of 2023.
However, as per SPORT, the former Manchester United forward’s entourage are informing clubs that he can be signed for free, insinuating that Barcelona would be willing to hand him a letter of freedom like they were willing to do in the summer when he was close to joining Juventus.
There had been links to Sevilla in the recent past, although Depay is not keen on joining them while the Andalusian outfit are also said to be uninterested in the forward due to his wages. So, the Premier League could emerge as the most likely destination for the forward.
