8 Barcelona players in action today in the International fixtures

Today marks the final day for the first of the three-rounds of International European fixtures. Across the World Cup Qualifiers and U-21 Euros, six Barcelona players will have the opportunity to don the national jersey. Barça Universal takes a look at each of the fixtures in detail.
Israel vs. Denmark (6:00 PM CET): This fixture will feature Barca No 9, Martin Braithwaite. The Danish International has not been a constant name on the starting lineup ever since Ronald Koeman has moved to the traditional 4-3-3. The 29-year-old is, however, an integral part of the Denmark national team. He will look to get some minutes under his belt and put up an impressive performance to get ready for the crucial club football that awaits him.
Germany vs. Iceland (8:45 PM CET): There are almost negligible chances that the star Barcelona goalkeeper will get an opportunity to feature in the international break due to the omnipresent Manuel Neuer. In the past also Ter Stegen has vented out his frustration for not being able to play for the national team.
Spain vs. Greece (8:45 PM IST): The three Barcelona players who could feature tonight are Sergio Busquests, Pedri, and Jordi Alba. Busquests has been a constant name in the first XI for Spain for a long time now.
It has been a very emotional week for Pedri, getting his first national call-up. It will be interesting to see if the 18-year-old will make the cut into Luis Enrique’s starting XI. Alba also returns to the national team after a lengthy spell away from the national team. He will look to continue his spectacular run of form and establish himself as the starting left-back for Spain.
Portugal U-21 vs Croatia U-21 (9:00 PM CET): Franciso Trincao is also one of the players who has not been able to establish himself as a constant name on the team sheet. However, he has been regularly used by the Dutch manager as a substitute. The Portuguese will also look to impress his national coach, Fernando Santos with an impressive performance in order to get a place at the UEFA Euros.
Elsewhere, USA Men’s National Team will be playing a friendly tonight against Jamaica. Sergino Dest and Konrad both are an important part of what many say is the golden generation of US players. Dest will surely look to not put the foot off the peddle after his match-winning performance against Real Sociedad.
