Chaos prevails as we approach the last 10 hours of the winter transfer window. Clubs are ready to offer their players at slashed prices, while some are desperately chasing unattainable targets.
Stuck between all of this, Barcelona are fighting tooth and nail to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal on a six-month loan. With the player already in Catalonia, a few details have to be ironed out before the move can be made official.
One of those is Aubameyang’s salary. Roger Torello reports that the striker is keen on signing for Barcelona and is ready to take a massive pay cut to push the signing over the finish line.
The report claims that the move can go ahead without the departure of Ousmane Dembele, who has apparently run out of potential exits in January.
As for the Arsenal striker, he is ready to reduce his salary by more than 70%, from €350 thousand to €100 thousand per week.
If there is any hint of truth to this rumour, it is only inevitable that Barcelona sign Aubameyang in the coming hours. More mayhem to follow.
