FC Barcelona have sanctioned the exit of multiple young players in this ongoing summer transfer window, with most of them being academy graduates looking to gain more experience elsewhere.

Nico Gonzalez and Alex Collado are among the players to have been loaned out to other Spanish already, and it appears Mika Marmol could soon join the list, as per reports from Albert Roge.

The Spanish journalist suggests Marmol is on the verge of joining FC Andorra. The two clubs are in advanced talks to finalise a deal and are currently doling out the final details.

However, unlike Nico or Collado, Marmol is expected to join FC Andorra on a permanent deal. Barça, as ever, are set to reserve the right to buy him back in the future or to generate a certain percentage of his future sale by Andorra.

The second division club have made quite a few headlines in the Spanish footballing media lately due to their rapid rise to prominence in recent years.

Partly owned by Barcelona superstar Gerard Pique, Andorra were plying their trade in the fifth tier of Spanish football not more than four years ago. But they have miraculously worked their up to notably gain promotion to the second division at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

With the prospect of first-division football looming large, Andorra have sought out the services of Mika Marmol.

The youngster is regarded as one of the most talented defensive players to come out of the prestigious La Masia academy and will be looking forward to making his breakthrough in professional football.

At the age of 21, Marmol has a long way to go before he can establish himself as a Barcelona regular, but a move to Andorra could be just what he needs to truly kickstart his footballing career and potentially become an asset in the Barcelona defence.
