Barcelona are moving out a plethora of young talents either on loan or permanently, with repurchase clauses included in case of the latter.

Pablo Torre has already departed, Chadi Riad, Nico Gonzalez, Julian Araujo, and Estanis Pedrola are all set to be on their way out as well, some on loan, some on permanent exits. And more names could join the list.

And, as per journalist Santi Ovalle, young left-back Alex Valle could also be on his way out on a loan deal for the upcoming campaign if he is not included in the first-team squad, as per his contract.

A product of the La Masia youth setup, Valle has risen through the ranks and gone on to make 22 appearances for Barça Atletic, registering a solitary assist. The 19-year-old spent the second half of the last season out on loan at FC Andorra, playing seven games.

Now back at Barcelona, Valle has travelled with the rest of the squad to the United States of America for the pre-season tour. The 19-year-old has been called up by Xavi to provide cover at left-back as Alejandro Balde is still recovering from his injury.

And, reports suggest that the young left-back wants to prove himself to the manager and earn a place in the first-team squad for the upcoming season.

For Valle to earn a place in Xavi’s plans, he would have to compete with Marcos Alonso, who is currently the second-choice left-back behind Balde. But, by contract, if Valle does not find a place in the senior setup for the 2023/24 campaign, he will be leaving on loan.

It will be interesting to see if the teenage defender gets any opportunities in the upcoming friendly matches against Arsenal, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.
