Barça dominated the first half and found themselves ahead at the break courtesy of a magical Messi free-kick, but Jordi Alba’s own goal immediately after the restart caused problems for Barça in the second period. In the end, it was Griezmann who once more popped up with a big goal, and settled the game in the Catalans favour.

After several away trips, a return to the Camp Nou was a pleasant one for Koeman and his side, as a fired up Barcelona were too much for Marcelino’s men on the night. The Dutch coach will have been pleased with the intensity and desire of his players, as well as the ability to pick up yet another victory in La Liga, which sees Barcelona rise to second place in the table.
