The past few days have been no less than an ordeal for Barcelona youngster Gavi as he suffered a nasty ACL injury while playing for Spain.

The 19-year-old midfield prodigy has suffered an ACL tear and is now ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Gavi is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days following which he will begin his long road to recovery.

Before that, though, the La Masia ace made it a point to visit the club’s Ciutat Esportiva complex earlier today in order to meet his teammates and manager Xavi Hernandez.

The club shared footage of Gavi meeting up with his coach and teammates and safe to say, it was an emotional watch as the youngster was greeted by the staff and players with hugs followed by a brief applause.

Gavi is expected to be out of action for at least eight months, meaning he will not play again this season while he is also expected to miss the Euros and the Olympics next year.

It comes as a major blow for Barcelona as the youngster has been a key cog in the scheme of things for Xavi.
