Barcelona collect a vital 3 points against Real Betis, in what was a highly entertaining match from start to finish. Ronald Koeman’s side generated countless opportunities in the first half, yet only went into the break level with Betis. But following the introduction of Lionel Messi at half time, the game swung in Barça’s favour, who eventually picked up all 3 points.
Ronald Koeman will no doubt be pleased to see his side so effective in the final third, and will be especially pleased at the sheer amount of chances Barcelona created, especially in the first half. More worrying aspects of the performance will once more be Barça’s defence, which conceded two sloppy goals, despite dominating the game. As well as Antoine Griezmann’s lack of form in front of goal, which included a penalty miss in the first half, despite getting on the scoresheet in the second.
