Barcelona got off to the perfect start in the Champions League, defeating Hungarian side Ferencvaros 5-1 at the Camp Nou on Tuesday evening.

Ferencvaros started the game well, and played with great confidence in the first half, but Barcelona’s superior quality prevailed with Leo Messi, Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembélé and Francisco Trincão all starring.

Below, you can find my Match Review of Barcelona’s crushing victory.

Barcelona knew the importance of starting the Champions League on the right foot, and wrapped up an impressive victory, but there are certainly still aspects of our game that need polishing. Indeed, Ferencvaros ran all over Barcelona before Messi’s moment of genius, and Koeman’s side will need to ensure they start in sharp fashion against Real Madrid, in Saturday’s Clásico.

My passion has always been football. Not just playing football, but also watching, analysing and talking about it. Football is my life. It’s what I wake up thinking about and go to bed worrying about. Although I love playing football, it is watching, analysing and sharing my thoughts on the game that inspires me. I began sharing my opinions on my YouTube channel from a very young age, and I am now delighted to be part of this fantastic team at Barça Universal. Barça is a huge part of my life and will always be. Força Barça!
