Two Barça B forwards that will continue with the first-team despite new signings

The January transfer window saw Barcelona significantly strengthen their attacking unit. The Catalan giants brought in as many as three new forwards in the form of Ferran Torres, Adama Traore and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Torres arrived from Manchester City for an initial fee of €55 million, while Traore has signed on loan for the rest of the season from Wolves, with the club retaining the option of making his transfer permanent at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Aubameyang has signed on a free transfer after his contract with former club Arsenal was terminated following his falling out with manager Mikel Arteta.
Considering the problems that the Blaugrana have had in the attacking unit this season, the three signings ought to bolster Xavi’s options a great deal as he looks to lead the team to a top-four finish in La Liga and success in the UEFA Europa League.
Apart from the three new signings, Barcelona have Memphis Depay, Martin Braithwaite, Luuk de Jong as options in attack while Ansu Fati will also be available once he recovers from his injury. Ousmane Dembele, too, could be an option if Xavi decides not to send him to the stands for the rest of the season.
Despite the plethora of options, SPORT is now reporting that the Catalan giants will continue to use Barcelona B youngsters Ez Abde and Ferran Jutgla for the senior team for the rest of the campaign.
The two starlets, who arrived at the club last summer, have made a solid impact since being thrust into the limelight by Xavi over the past few months. Abde has impressed with his wing-play and has one goal in ten La Liga appearances while Jutgla has two goals in eight games.
The pair could not make the cut to the UEFA Europa League squad for the knockout stages as the three new signings Torres, Traore and Aubameyang were registered by the club. And with Barcelona eliminated from Copa del Rey as well, Jutgla and Abde might not get a lot of minutes.
However, as things stand, it is expected that the pair will likely continue with Xavi’s senior setup rather than returning to play for Sergi Barjuan’s B team.
