Antoine Griezmann is a French forward and La Liga veteran, who has played for three clubs in the Spanish first division, spanning over a decade. He joined Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for a groundbreaking €120 million back in July 2019.
Griezmann faced a lot of trouble en-route becoming a professional footballer, including getting his contract rejected in dying moments, and being dismissed for being too short. Eventually, he went on to make his mark at Real Sociedad and has not looked back since.
The Frenchman is a highly decorated player, and has won the Europa League, the Super Cup, and finished runners-up for the Champions League with Atletico, and European Championship with France. On a personal level, Griezmann has finished third in the Ballon d’Or rankings twice – in 2016, and 2018. These spectacular achievements looks measly in the face of the 2018 World Cup, where he was even awarded the Man of the Match in the Finals against Croatia.
