Later on today, Real Betis will visit the Camp Nou in another difficult LaLiga clash for Barcelona. However, despite this only being their seventh in the ongoing campaign, it already feels like a final. After all, the Catalans have slipped one too many times so far and can afford no more mistakes going forward.

SPORT have described this as ‘win, win or win‘situation since that is their only option going into today’s match-up.

Interestingly, they have only gathered two points out of the possible 12 in their last four outings so this is truly a must-win situation. Betis, however, despite not having Nabil Fekir in the squad, are a dangerous team to face.

Manuel Pellegrini has turned them into a well-balanced force so this should make for a difficult match. SPORT also quote Ronald Koeman defending Lionel Messi. Recently, the Argentine was criticised by the media for his lacklustre defending, as was pictured against Dynamo Kyiv.

The Dutchman responded: “He’s really focused and his attitude is very good”.

Mundo Deportivo are mostly on the same page with their title: ‘goals and reactions‘.

They say Barça need to regain their pulse in LaLiga and finally get back to winning ways. The fact that there are multiple ex-Barcelona players on the Real Betis team makes this clash even more interesting.

Koeman also comments on their tendencies in front of goal, saying that the team needs to shoot more often. So many times, they opted for a pass when a clear chance for a shot was presented.

This, the coach says, needs to improve.
