Tomorrow is a huge day for Barcelona as they travel to the Wanda Metropolitano stadium to face Atlético Madrid. The Rojiblancos are in red-hot form and Diego Simeone will certainly be looking for his first-ever domestic league win over the Catalans.

However, as SPORT kindly remind, tomorrow will also be Lionel Messi’s 800th game in a Barcelona shirt. It’s a special occasion in more ways than one and the Argentine is usually in the mood on those days.

In 17 years of service, Leo has scored a total of 677 goals and interestingly enough, Atlético Madrid are one of his favourite victims of all. Against them, the little genius has already scored 32 times across 41 clashes.

In other news, Pep Guardiola has signed a new contract with Manchester City, dispelling all and any rumours of a potential return to Catalonia in the near future.

Mundo Deportivo have gone in a rather different direction. Their cover compares two Portuguese players ahead of the derby tomorrow – Francisco Trincão and Paulo Futre.

The former, of course, is one of Barcelona’s biggest talents and the latter is already retired but was once a great Atlético Madrid player. Futre was interviewed by Mundo Deportivo and talked about the game and about Trincão.

He expects a real goal-fest tomorrow and hopes the hosts win 5-4 with four goals coming from Trincão. The Barcelona youngster, on the other hand, wishes for the reverse – a 4-5 victory for the Blaugrana.
