Papers: Messi is happy at Barcelona but leaves the door open

Lionel Messi’s big interview with LaSextaTV has been a huge topic in the footballing world, not just Barcelona. The Argentine spoke to the media about his feelings and the overall situation for the first time since the failed attempt at leaving the club some months ago now.
And needless to say, the local papers this morning are all over the most important quotes from his latest confrontation with the media outlet. SPORT are here with a more optimistic spin, stating Leo is now happy at the Camp Nou after a rough couple of months.

Apart from those quotes, the outlet also talked about the Argentine’s minor injury, which will keep him away from the squad for the Tuesady’s clash against Eibar. Barcelona are in a good spot right now, having won their last couple of games, and are looking up for the time being.
Mundo Deportivo, however, have taken a more measured approach to Leo’s recent words.

Even though the Catalans’ star is much happier now than he was before, he still leaves the door open for a potential departure once his contract ends. His current deal with Barcelona is set to expire in the summer and then, who knows what will happen.
In other news, Mundo Deportivo report Gerard Piqué will run for presidency in the future as well. Of course, we’ve known this for a while but now it’s been decided and the defender’s mind is made up.
