Official: Barcelona squad list to face Cadiz is out

The official squad list that will take on the pitch at Camp Nou as Barcelona host Cadiz is out with no major surprises. The onus is now to bounce back from the defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the hope of gaining a grain of happiness.

Gerard Pique started the PSG clash and has been included in the squad list for the encounter. The club’s best central defender, Ronald Araujo, though, does not make the cut. He is expected to return for the next game, but the Cadiz encounter has been deemed too early by Ronald Koeman.

Sergi Roberto and Ansu Fati are not fit, either, with the latter possibly out for the rest of the season depending on the recovery of his knee. Lastly, Philippe Coutinho has not been included in the list.

Konrad de la Fuente, Alex Collado, and Ilaix Moriba have been a part of the squad lists recently, but do not get featured this time around.

Absentees: Araujo, Coutinho, Roberto, Fati

It would ve extremely difficult for the squad to pick up momentum after two crushing defeats at the hands of Sevilla and PSG in the span of a week, but Atletico Madrid dropped points against Levante and are losing momentum.

There might not be a better time for Barça to pounce on the league, and put pressure on Atleti. Diego Simeone’s side do not respond well to external pressure and have often bottled good positions in the league owing to the same.
