Futbol Club Barcelona and Allianz have renewed their partnership for the next three seasons, until June 2024, as was officially announced yesterday. The new deal will have the German insurance company move from being a regional to a global partner for the next three years, with the exception of China.
To commemorate the start of this new era for both entities, the Barça players will sport the Allianz logo on their shirtsleeve in the preseason fixtures against Stuttgart and Salzburg to be played tomorrow and the fourth of August respectively.
This is yet another step forward in the collaboration between the Blaugrana and Allianz. Having already been partners for the past decade, this strengthens the tie between the two even more, particularly in light of the shortcomings the club has faced as a result of the pandemic.
In the future, the two seek to promote various sporting projects based on “shared philosophy of confidence, self-improvement, and mutual support.”
The collaboration between the two will line up with the pillars of the club as it seeks to consolidate its status as ‘more than a club’. They will work on concrete and especially long term projects that will be geared towards social inclusion, innovation, and uniqueness in their style of play.
Owing to this, the agreement between the two extends to both the Femeni as well as Barça B in regards to “associated image rights.”
As a company, Allianz is one of the world’s leading insurance providers, with over 100 million customers, both private and corporate across 70 countries. In Spain, they are one of the largest insurance providers.
They have a clear commitment to the positive values of sport as a whole, demonstrating this through their involvement with the Olympic and Paralympic movements running from 2021-28, as well as their partnership with Barcelona.
