Earlier today, Sevilla put out an official statement, saying that no official directors from their club will be present at the VIP box today at the Saint Olympic Montjuic as Barcelona host Sevilla in La Liga.

Their reasoning was Barça’s involvement in the Negreira case and that they had been charged with suspected bribery.

Barcelona have now replied to the Seville outfit with an official press release of their own.

The Catalan giants say that Sevilla’s statement is an “unjustified and improper attack” and “unacceptable offence”.

Barcelona also explain that Sevilla are trying to sway the legal position against Barcelona.

“The so-called ‘Negreira Case’ cannot sere as an excuse for such actions since the judicial procedure is in a very premature investigation phase and the positioning of Sevilla clearly prejudices facts that, in no case, and in any of its preliminary and hypothetical typifications, are accredited,” the release says.

Finally, Barça have ended the statement by saying that they now break all relations with Sevilla as long as they do not rectify their current position.
