Life seems to go from bad to worse for Barcelona fans as rising superstar Ronald Araujo looks to be out for the next couple of weeks. The Uruguayan picked up the injury during the warmup ahead of the clash against Granada, with Samuel Umtiti coming in to replace him as a last-minute change.
The club confirmed that Araujo will miss the semi-finals against Real Sociedad in midweek as part of the Spanish Super Cup. Additionally, he will also miss the Copa del Rey clash against UE Cornella on the weekend, which knocked out against Atletico Madrid in the previous round.
Araujo is expected to recover in time for the Elche on the 24th of January, but his recovery will determine his return. The 21-year-old has suffered his second injury of the season, after being ruled out for the same injury against Juventus in Round 2 of the UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona will be left with Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, and Oscar Mingueza for that role in the heart of the defence, while Gerard Pique continues on the road to recovery after picking up a serious knock against Atletico Madrid in gameweek 10.
