The England international has been at Manchester United for the entirety of his senior career, rising through the ranks of their esteemed academy system. He has made a name for himself not just as a footballer but also as a noble role model for millions worldwide by using his influence to help those in need.
Marcus Rashford’s ambition, of course, is well documented. It also translates to his playing careAsideside from discussing his efforts to help people around the world, the honorary MBE holder also talked about a potential move away from Manchester United some time in the future.
When asked about the prospect of playing abroad, Rashford replied: “ I would never say no. Other than United I’m a big fan of Real Madrid and Barcelona, because they’ve always had great players and played attractive football. Everybody watches Real Madrid and Barcelona.”
Rashford has a contract in force with Manchester United till 2023. However, if he were to decide to leave any time in the near future, he would certainly have plenty of suitors waiting, although seeing him in Garnet and Blue does not seem like a realistic possibility anytime soon.
The 23-year old is not the only Manchester United player to voice his admiration for Barcelona. A couple of months ago, midfielder Scott McTominay had expressed his love for Lionel Messi in particular, as he went to great lengths to secure the Argentine talisman’s jersey.
