Barcelona players and fans were painted in shock in midweek against Eintracht Frankfurt much before the game even started.

The Camp Nou looked a lot more white than they would have expected as Frankfurt flans flooded the stands outside the away end.

Nevertheless, it is no surprise that Barcelona looked rattled through the game and eventually crashed out of the competition.

According to club officials, the tickets were obtained illegally with season ticket holders and Socis selling their tickets to traveling supporters.

Barcelona’s animation stand – usually sat behind the goal on the left side – did not particularly appreciate what happened.

Consequently, they decided to boycott Barcelona’s clash against Cadiz in protest. Pictures of the Camp Nou with an entire stand empty certainly look odd.

Barcelona, in an attempt to avoid another less-than-ideal atmosphere at home, requested the participants to reconsider but to no avail.

Marc-André ter Stegen sat ahead of the stand in the first half and looked relatively unphased.
