With Xavi Hernandez likely to be forced out of FC Barcelona at the end of the season, the club are on the lookout for a new manager.

And, Hansi Flick appears to be one of the leading candidates to replace the former midfielder as the next head coach at the Catalan outfit.

In fact, reports earlier today suggested that Deco and Bojan Krkic were meeting the German tactician in London, although some other outlets have dismissed those claims.

Flick pressing for Barcelona

Irrespective of whether a meeting took place or not, Flick appears very eager to take over the reins at FC Barcelona.

In fact, Fabrizio Romano (h/t FCBWorld) reports that the sextuple-winning former Bayern Munich boss is pressing hard for a move to Barça.

The former Bayern Munich and Germany manager was allegedly very close to taking over the helm last month before Xavi performed a U-turn and decided to continue.

But, with the situation once again flipping around, Flick seems eager to land the job and is even turning down proposals from the Premier League to end up as the next Barcelona head coach.

Apart from Flick, other names like Rafa Marquez and Thomas Tuchel are also seen as possible contenders. Thiago Motta was also linked but he is now close to joining Juventus.

With Flick eager to take over the reins at Barcelona, it now remains to be seen if Joan Laporta & co. decide to lean that way.
