Gerard Pique hits back at Shakira with yet another antic following singer’s diss track

Former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has been the talk of the town of late. The three-time UEFA Champions League winner with the Blaugrana was obliquely mentioned in Shakira’s recent track, and the 35-year-old did not hold back while reacting to it.
During the most recent Twitch stream for his new ‘Kings League’ project, he affirmed that the competition has roped in Casio as their main sponsor.
“We have reached an agreement with Casio in the Kings League to sponsor us. Casio is a great watch, it lasts a lifetime.,” said the former defender.
And when asked by journalist Gerard Romero about why Casio, in particular, Sergio Aguero – also present during the stream – replied, “Because of Shakira’s song.”
“It was because of Shakira’s song. I think that’s why Casio is sponsoring us. Pique got annihilated by that song,” he added.
It was only a few days back that Shakira elated her new track in collaboration with Bizarrap to take a jibe at her former partner and his new lover, Clara Chia. The lyrics of which read,
“I’m worth two 22s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio. A lot of gym, but work your brain a little bit too.”
“I was out of your league, which is why you’re with someone just like you.”
“You left me with my mother-in-law as a neighbour, with the press at my door and a debt to the taxman,” she sings.
The context of the aforementioned debt revolves around the fact that she lived in Spain between 2012 and 2014, meaning that she is liable to pay the tax in Spain on her worldwide income for the time she lived there.
Now, while’s Pique’s association with Casio was one reaction, the 35-year-old has now responded to Shakira with another antic. This time, he arrived at the Kings League today riding a white Twingo.

The whole spectacle is starting to become nothing but a pathetic charade, to say the very least. In any way, Pique seems keen to grow his Kings League project, and as it turns out, former Manchester City and Barcelona forward Sergio Aguero is a part of it.
What is Kings League?
Kings League is a seven-a-side tournament comprising 12 teams. These teams will play 11 games before a playoff for the title. The competition started on January 1, and a game is played every Sunday.
As for Aguero’s part, he is the president of xBuyers, one of the teams, while Iker Casillas is the president of 1K FC. The matches are streamed live on Twitch, and the teams are a mix of ex-players and Spanish influencers. Each match lasts 40 minutes, and substitutions are unlimited.
