In recent years, Rennes have produced a series of talented players. Ousmane Dembele, for one, is playing his trade with Barcelona, whereas Eduardo Camavinga earned his move to Real Madrid.

Hoping to follow in their footsteps, Desire Doue has made waves in Ligue 1 this season. An attacking midfielder by trade, the youngster has racked up three goals and one assist for Rennes this season, establishing himself as one of the rising stars in the French league.

And in a major development, it appears Doue’s agent, Mickael Sylvestre, was in Barcelona today, reports Actualite-Barça. The two had even attended the match between Barça and Atletico Madrid at the Spofiy Camp Nou, where the hosts came away with a narrow 1-0 victory.

Although Barcelona have yet to be heavily linked with a move for Doue, the visit of the player and his agent could be quite significant for the Catalans, who are open to signing under-the-radar talents in an attempt to further strengthen the squad in the coming summer.

Barça have been notably linked with a move for Vitor Roque of Athletico Paranaense. They are also targeting other South American talents, hoping to further strengthen their ranks in the youth department.

Doue, for his part, has been in excellent form in Ligue 1. In light of his performances, many expect him to soon make his big breakthrough, before eventually earning a move to a bigger club.

However, if Barcelona are to secure the services of Doue, they must move swiftly and sign him in the coming summer, considering the fact that the majority of Rennes youngsters get picked up by top clubs during the nascent stages of their development.
