Dembele’s agent made an absurd request to Barcelona for contract renewal – report

Ousmane Dembele is not a part of the Barcelona roster anymore but revelations are being made about the player and his agent’s demands from Barcelona.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger recently moved to Paris Saint-Germain for €50.4 million and by the contract, Barcelona and the player will share the fee in two halves.

Out of the €50.4 million transfer fee, Blaugrana will receive €35.4 million and the rest of the amount will be transferred to the player.

Now, Barcelona were more than happy to finally part ways with the player, but SPORT has revealed some crazy insights which include the incredible request of Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko to renew.

Sissoko asked for an invalid variable

As part of Dembele’s deal with Barcelona, he was entitled to receive a variable if he had managed to play 60% of their matches last season.

In January this year, though, the forward suffered an injury to the rectus femoris of the left thigh which ruled him out of action for a considerable amount of time. This means Dembele lost all his privileges to earn the mentioned variables.

So the condition that Sissoko put forward while in talks with Barça over an extension was for his client to receive the variables as the injury occurred was not a fault of his own. Instead, they pushed it all on the Barça kit men.

The football agent told Barcelona that those responsible for the kits and the accessories that night did not give Dembele the leg warmers to carry out the warm-up session prior to the game and this is why the forward had to limp off injured in only the 26th minute.

Now, Barcelona did try to convince the player to continue as he was very much liked in the dressing room, but it has been learned that the Frenchman personally requested Xavi to let him leave for PSG this summer.
