Dembélé trained despite the team’s day off

Ousmane Dembélé is so adamant on succeeding at Barcelona that he trained despite the team having a day off. The Frenchman wants to convince Ronald Koeman to give him a chance to prove himself.
It’s been a rough couple of months for the young winger in the Catalan capital. As we now know, he was close to being sold to Manchester United but the financial difficulties that trouble the whole of the footballing world prevented that from happening.

But apart from that, Dembélé really wants to make it at Barça. So much so that he’s been spotted at the Ciutat Esportiva today even though he could’ve been at home relaxing.
And while this won’t immediately get him on Koeman’s good side, it’s a decent start. Of course, we have to remember that injuries have played a huge role in his unsuccessful start at the Camp Nou. Training, obviously, could help him avoid those situations in the future.
Let’s not forget that he also missed a session just a couple of days ago due to an illness. However, now, Dembélé trained on his day off to make up for the lost time.

So far, Ansu Fati has been chosen ahead of him in the first three games. And looking at what the youngster has done on the pitch, it’s easy to see why. But that doesn’t mean there’s no place for the Frenchman in the team as well.
And this is surely one of the ways to make the coach trust you a bit more. Let’s hope he manages to do it in the end.
It would be a shame not to make use of such raw talent and incredible potential.
