Barcelona’s deadline day arrival could start against Osasuna – report

Just a day after completing the capture of Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo, Barcelona have included both Portuguese internationals in the squad against Osasuna.
Both are in contention to feature in the game this evening, as the Catalans look to continue their winning momentum.
Cancelo in contention to start vs Osasuna
While it is natural for any fan to expect both Cancelo and Felix to feature against Osasuna this evening, Barcelona are ready to take things a step further.
According to Diario SPORT, there is a chance Cancelo may even start against Osasuna, just two days after joining Barcelona.
This is despite the fact that Cancelo did not feature even in a single game for Manchester City this season prior to joining Barcelona on a loan deal.

It is indicative of the fact that Xavi Hernandez rates the Portuguese international and wants him to become a permanent fix in the right-back slot.
Despite his recent struggles at Man City, Cancelo is highly regarded as one of the best right-backs in Europe due to his technical prowess and tactical knowledge of the game.
Cancelo’s addition to Barcelona should put an end to their woes in the right-back position, where the club were struggling with viable options.
Should the former Bayern Munich star start against Osasuna, he will likely replace Sergi Roberto in the right-back position.
His presence on the right flank should improve the quality of Barcelona’s build-up play from the back. It may also result in better support for the attacker out wide.
However, it will be a surprise if the Portuguese international ends up playing the entirety of ninety minutes. Even a start against Osasuna could be surprising, but it will be interesting to see how things transpire this evening.
