Barcelona continued their dominance over Real Madrid since the turn of the year by securing yet another 2-1 victory over their arch-rivals last night.

The result did not go well with some of the Real Madrid players, including Dani Carvajal. According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, the right-back even had an altercation with Barça’s third-choice goalkeeper Arnau Tenas after the game.

When the young goalkeeper was approaching the crowd with his teammates to celebrate Barcelona’s victory, he crossed paths with Carvajal.

At that time, the Real Madrid right-back pointed his index finger at Tenas, and allegedly proceeded to put his hand on the young goalkeeper’s neck. Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba was attentive to the scene and rushed to the spot to douse the tension.

However, when Carvajal was going back to the dressing room, he made a comment to Tenas that annoyed the young goalkeeper, as he tried to storm towards the Real Madrid star.

The youngster had to be stopped by his teammate Ronald Araujo and Real Madrid veteran Antonio Rudiger. Alba and Barcelona delegate Carlos Naval also approached Carvajal, urging the right-back not to add more fuel to the fire.

It remains unknown whether Carvajal and Tenas had some prior altercation that led to this incident. But it marked yet another unsportsmanlike gesture from the Real Madrid star, who has been involved in other actions in the past, including a fight with former Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa.

As for the game, Barcelona came back from a goal behind to beat Real Madrid 2-1, courtesy of strikes from Sergi Roberto and Franck Kessie. The win puts the Blaugrana 12 points clear of their arch-rivals and well on their way to lift the La Liga title.
