The fact that Dani Olmo ends his RB Leipzig contract in 2024 makes him an exciting prospect this summer. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is now available at an affordable price and while the German team is still reluctant to lose him, several top teams are beginning to take notice of his situation.

As far as Barcelona are concerned, Spanish news outlet Diario AS has claimed that although they are seriously considering him, their stance is a tad bit different.

At present, the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are believed to be interested in his acquisition this summer, but Barça want him to wait for another season.

This is because the team still has no answers to the Financial FairPlay regulation while their compliance with La Liga’s salary cap is off as well. Since they cannot afford to sign him this summer, they are doing everything in their power to acquire him in 2024 for free.

Thanks to his ever-rising experience of playing the UEFA Champions League as well as representing his national team, Spain, at European Championships and the FIFA World Cup, a lot of teams are considering him as a pure bargain.

For now, while Leipzig still haven’t put a price tag on him, it is believed that a fee between €30 million and €40 million would be enough to lure him away.

Up until the time of writing, Leipzig’s stance is pretty clear; they do not want to lose him. However, as the market nears, they might be forced to study all the possible options.

As for Barcelona, they just cannot spend a transfer fee to sign him in the summer, meaning that they are completely reliant on the player’s wish. For now, he hasn’t renewed his deal with Leipzig and it is looking highly unlikely that he will. This means the player’s exit is imminent either this summer or in 2024.

Why bother? Olmo is just another passpartut attacking player like Feran Torres. And unfortunstely Barca paid a fortune for Torres already so might as well keep him and hope Xavi csn make him a better player. Why buy also Olmo? Becsuse of his high xG or high xA? I can not believe Real and Bayern are interested in Olmo.
