Barcelona raised many eyebrows yesterday, after confirming that the club will wear a special kit for the upcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid.

The Spotify logo will be replaced by the famous Rolling Stones’ Tongue & Lips logo, in yet another unique collaboration.

The move came in the midst of the Rolling Stones’ releasing their new album, ‘Hackney Diamonds’. But this is not the first time Barcelona will wear a special kit in this special event.

As reported by FootyHeadline, a Twitter user who has developed a reputation for releasing early kit designs of European clubs, has revealed a key piece of information regarding Barcelona.

It appears Barça are set to wear a special jersey once in the next Clasico, which will feature the logo of the Catalan rock band ‘Estopa‘.

Estopa is formed by a duo in Catalonia, consisting of brothers Jose and David Munoz. Their genre largely consists of rock, rumba, and flamenco.

Estopa is quite famous in the region, having come up with hit songs such as “El Run Run” and “Cuando Amanece”. They have also bagged several Ondas music awards.

If confirmed, Estopa would become the fourth artist to feature on Barcelona’s jersey, following Drake, Rosalia, and Rolling Stones.

This is part of Spotify’s marketing strategy. The audio streaming giants leverage the reach of Barcelona to promote certain music artists through sponsorships.

Once the Estopa kit gets the nod, Barcelona will wear the iconic shirt in the next Clasico, which will be played in April 2024.
