Barcelona’s investment in Vitor Roque indicated that they saw him as a major asset in their frontline.

However, since joining the squad in January, Roque’s on-field opportunities have been minimal, which has even sparked concerns about his continuity at the club.

This reduced role has led to frustration for the young Brazilian, with the player’s agent publicly throwing shade at Xavi.

Player and agent will meet soon

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano Vitor Roque’s agent, Andre Cury is set to meet with Barcelona’s management soon to discuss the 19-year-old’s future at the club.

Cury’s agenda will likely include seeking clarity on Barcelona’s long-term plans for Roque, as well as exploring potential opportunities for more regular game time.

The agent already ruled out a loan exit, claiming they would only be interested in a permanent transfer.

As such, the upcoming meeting could involve advocating for a more prominent role at Barcelona or evaluating an exit.

Considering Roque was a man in high demand before signing with Barcelona, with Tottenham Hotspur one of the interested parties, the player will likely have no shortage of suitors.

Barcelona will not give into Curry’s pressure

The agent made some strong claims against Barcelona, not shying away from vocalizing the unfair treatment his player has been receiving.

But reportedly, Xavi and Deco are adamant that they would not succumb to any sort of ‘blackmail’.

The club wishes to tread carefully with Roque’s development, intending to see the player fully adapt in Europe before being placed in the hot seat.

Barcelona’s caution with Roque will likely be addressed in the upcoming meeting, as both parties will look to resolve their concerns.
