A report from Diario SPORT has offered an update on the future of Abde Ezzalzouli. The Barcelona winger is facing an uncertain future at the club, having fallen behind in the pecking order.

Ez Abde arrived in Barcelona last summer for a fee of €2 million. It was a risky move by the club, but one that paid off as the youngster enjoyed a brisk start to his life in Nou Camp.

With ten league appearances, Abde made an impression with his dribbling prowess and chance creation in the final third. But the youngster soon lacked prominence following the arrival of several stars players in January.

Abde is yet to feature in a single league game for Barcelona since February. He has been restricted to appearances for the Barcelona B squad, which has led to the club contemplating his future next season.

Barça’s initial wish is to keep the player beyond the summer as the club believe the youngster has a lot of potential and can further increase his value.

But the Catalans will be open to selling the player if any club are willing to come up with a reasonable offer. The report suggests a few La Liga clubs have already expressed their desire to sign the youngster, while AS Roma have reportedly come up with a €10 million bid.

Barcelona are further studying the possibility of a loan deal or including a buy-back clause in the event of a potential sale.

The club truly rate the player highly and believe he has what it takes to develop into a top player. They want to keep hold of the winger until then, before projecting a massive profit on the €2 million they had invested, further down the line.
