Barcelona are staring at a crucial summer transfer window where at least one or two important sales are likely to occur.

One of the names most prominently linked with a summer exit is that of Raphinha. The Brazilian winger has stepped up for the Catalans in times of need more often than not since arriving in 2022.

In fact, the 27-year-old has been one of the Blaugrana’s best attackers in the current campaign, with a tally of 10 goals and 12 assists from 36 appearances in all competitions.

However, given his pedigree, Barça believe they can fetch a good transfer fee from his sale and as such, he is seen as one of the candidates to be offloaded.

Raphinha offered to Saudi Arabian clubs

Now, offering an update on the situation of Raphinha, La Vanguardia reports that the Brazilian international has been offered to multiple Saudi Arabian clubs through superagent Jorge Mendes.

It is a peculiar development considering that Mendes is not the agent of Raphinha. In fact, the Barcelona winger has been without a representative since last summer.

The 27-year-old ex-Leeds United man was previously represented by Deco, who had to shut down his agency after assuming the role of Barcelona’s sporting director last year.

Since then, Raphinha has opted not to appoint a new agent despite being approached by several representatives.

However, it must be noted that Deco started out as an agent after retiring under the tutelage of Jorge Mendes itself, who has now offered Raphinha to clubs in Saudi.

Raphinha does not want to leave

Even as these developments take place, Raphinha remains firm on his stance of not wanting to leave Barcelona this summer.

The only way that the Brazilian would consider a departure would be if he was presented with a great sporting project from the Premier League.

The winger is simply not interested in a move to Saudi Arabia, despite clubs from the Middle East being prepared to splash big money for him.
