Barcelona eyeing German wonderkid as their ‘top summer target’ alongside Felix

Barcelona finally seem to have their team ticking, with new additions in the form of Ilkay Gundogan, Joao Felix, Joao Cancelo, and Oriol Romeu making a huge difference to the team.
However, still in financial turmoil, Barça will need to plan everything ahead in an attempt to make sure their targets for the summer are met.
They are looking at two players in particular, for the summer transfer window, as their ‘top targets’, as per a report by FCBRonit.
They are, namely, Florian Wirtz and Joao Felix.
Florian Wirtz
Currently 20, Wirtz is coming off an ACL injury that put his career in danger, but seems to have bounced back stronger than before this season.
He has started all four games for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this season, scoring one goal and assisting two. He was also on target against Hacken in the Europa League this midweek.
The German wonderkid has the world at his feet, with all the top clubs around Europe on notice of his talent.
Recruiting him will be a challenge for any top team, with Leverkusen expected to demand over €100 million for his signature — a price Barcelona cannot shell out in the summer until things change dramatically for them.
On the brighter side, Barça have reportedly already spoken to the player’s father. That, coupled with the rumours claiming that Wirtz dreams of playing for Barcelona should put them in the running for him.
Joao Felix
Felix has already settled in very well at Barcelona, scoring three goals and assisting one in his opening three games for the club.
The Portuguese practically has no place at Atletico Madrid anymore due to his sour relations with Diego Simeone.
However, his loan deal does not include an option to purchase him permanently for Barcelona. And if reports are to be believed, Atletico will demand at least €80 million for his services.
Further, the Spanish giants preferably want to offload him to an English club so they can juice enough transfer fee out of the move.
