Barcelona could sell La Masia graduate in the summer if a good offer comes – Romano

According to Fabrizio Romano (via OnAmp), there is a feeling within Barcelona that Ansu Fati could be the player who will be sold in the summer transfer window should a good offer come along for the La Masia graduate.
Given Barcelona’s current Financial Fair Play situation, a big sale in the summer is a must, especially if the Catalans intend to follow through on their plans of re-signing former captain Lionel Messi.
There have been talks of Jordi Alba being forced out of the club while Eric Garcia is another player who has been touted as a possible departee.
But, Ansu Fati’s name has been linked the strongest with an exit from Spotify Camp Nou in the summer. The 20-year-old has struggled to carve out a regular place in the starting lineup under Xavi Hernandez, which sparked an explosive rant from the youngster’s father earlier this week.
During his rant, Fati’s father claimed that he wants the forward to leave in the summer if his situation does not improve, but the youngster himself has no desire to secure an exit as he continues to dream of succeeding at Barcelona.
But, with his situation being as it is and the club needing to generate revenue from player sales, there seems to be a feeling within the club that Fati could be the one to be sold by Barcelona, provided a good offer comes along for the Spaniard.
Earlier today, Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste spoke about the 20-year-old’s situation and stated that he cannot guarantee that the forward will 100% stay at the club beyond this season.
There has been plenty of interest in the La Masia prodigy from the Premier League, with recent reports suggesting that Manchester United could be Fati’s likeliest destination in case he is put up for sale come summer.
It remains to be seen how this story develops in the coming weeks and if Fati manages to do enough to convince Barcelona to not sell him in the summer.
