Aubameyang hits back at reports of Chelsea agreement after being spotted at airport

Earlier today, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was spotted at Barcelona-El Prat airport which sparked speculations that the striker could be on his way to completing his transfer to Chelsea.

A move to the Premier League club seems imminent for the 33-year-old striker who had joined the Blaugrana only eight months earlier.

And as soon as he was spotted at the airport, the rumour mill went into overdrive with speculations mounting that Aubameyang could be on his way to London to complete his move back to the Premier League with an agreement in place.

However, taking to social media, Aubameyang has hit back at those speculations, as he posted an image from Paris, with a caption that reads: “Sometimes people forget there is life as well, not only football!!!”

Mundo Deportivo reports that the Gabonese international has travelled to Paris in order to take care of some personal matters.

Aubameyang participated in Barcelona’s recovery training earlier this morning following their mid-season friendly encounter against Manchester City last night, during which he scored.

Following the training, he hopped on to the flight to travel to Paris, where he is attending a personal matter. While the flight might not have been to complete a transfer to Chelsea, the striker is expected to join the Blues imminently, with an agreement understood to be close.
