According to Goal, Ansu Fati has signed a new contract with Barcelona. The youngster is now a new first-team player. The 17-year-old has signed the federative file that accredits him as such this morning, which automatically means the increase of the clause to €400 million, from the previous €170m. His contract will prevail until 2024.

Previously, president Josep María Bartomeu had confirmed that Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, and Ronald Araújo were going to be promoted to the first team, Fati being the first of them. In addition, the 17-year-old will maintain the duration of his contract, until June 2024 and will see his salary increased.

Ansu Fati says goodbye to his number 31 with which he debuted with Ernesto Valverde at the beginning of the 2019/20 season and we will see him with a new identity in his jersey against Villarreal on Sunday.

Moreover, Fati becomes the first La Masía product to be promoted to the first team since Carles Aleñá at the end of 2018.
